I was born on the island of Trinidad to a large family of 11 where most of my siblings were already married with kids by the time I was 5. I enjoyed climbing mango trees and taking a trip in the rain to the ravine to collect river crabs for a dish made of curried crabs and dumplings. From an early age I could iron a shirt as crisply as I could open a coconut with a few swings of a machete. Being as culturally and ethnically diverse as the food in Trinidad afforded me the opportunity to experience many flavors and cooking styles from young. I have always wanted to open a restaurant- a dream I have not shelved yet but I simply enjoy the varied facets of an epicurean lifestyle. I yearn to discover new tastes and methods of cooking.
